How does the free tier work? +
The free tier gives you 1,000 characters total with access to all tones. No credit card required — just sign up and start translating. You can upgrade to Pro or Max anytime for higher limits and premium features.
What's included in Pro and Max subscriptions? +
Pro ($9.99/month): 250,000 characters/month, up to 50 PDF imports (10 pages each), all tones + custom tones, text-to-speech, translation history, and priority support. Includes a 3-day free trial.
Max ($19.99/month): 1,000,000 characters/month, unlimited PDF imports (100 pages each), all tones + custom tones, text-to-speech, translation history, and priority support.
How do I cancel my subscription? +
You can cancel anytime directly through the platform you subscribed on:
• iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → ToneTranslator → Cancel
• Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ToneTranslator → Cancel
• Web: Contact us at support@tonetranslator.tech
Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
Can I use ToneTranslator offline? +
ToneTranslator requires an internet connection to process translations, as the AI models run on our servers. An active connection ensures you always get the highest quality results.
How do custom tones work? +
Custom tones let you describe any tone in your own words — in any language. Simply type a description like "warm and approachable, but professional" and ToneTranslator will apply that tone to every translation. Save tones for yourself, your team, or your organisation for consistent communication across languages.
Which languages are supported? +
ToneTranslator supports 130+ languages, including all major European, Asian, Middle Eastern, and African languages. You can translate between any combination of supported languages and apply custom tones to each translation.
Is my data secure? +
Yes. We take data privacy seriously. Your translations and custom tones are stored securely and are only accessible to you. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. See our

How do I get a refund? +
Refunds for iOS subscriptions are handled by Apple — request them at
reportaproblem.apple.com. For Android, refunds are processed through the Google Play Store. For web subscriptions, contact support@tonetranslator.tech and we'll help you directly.
Do you offer enterprise plans? +
Yes! We offer seat-based enterprise plans with shared tone libraries, team workspaces, cross-market consistency tools, and enterprise security. Contact our team at
